From 2022 to 2026, Jeremy Williams served as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in Suffolk County, where he successfully prosecuted hundreds of criminal actions. From working with police to investigate crimes to bringing those cases to trial, Jeremy has handled every phase of criminal litigation. During his tenure, he distinguished himself with a 100% conviction rate at jury trial, a testament to his preparation, courtroom presence, and knowledge of criminal law.

Specialized Expertise

Jeremy’s experience spans the full spectrum of criminal and regulatory law. As a member of the B.E.A.S.T. Unit (Biological, Environmental, Animal Safety Team), he spearheaded complex investigations and prosecutions involving animal cruelty and environmental offenses. Notably, he served as the lead attorney for the EverBlue Initiative, securing landmark convictions in commercial fishing enforcement.

District Court & East End Bureaus: Extensive experience navigating the nuances of local and regional court proceedings. Jeremy practices regularly in the East End of Long Island and offers specialized knowledge of the intricacies and procedures of the local justice courts of the North Fork and the Hamptons. Jeremy has successfully tried cases on the West and East Ends of Suffolk County.

Intake & Grand Jury Unit: As a prosecutor, Jeremy handled DWI offenses, narcotics offenses, assaults, sex crimes, financial crimes, weapons and firearms offenses, thefts, domestic violence and familial offenses, animal abuse, environmental crimes, and hunting and fishing offenses. Jeremy has extensive courtroom experience, successfully arguing dozens of pretrial hearings, motions and trials for the government.

Environmental Enforcement: Recognized for his dedication to environmental integrity, Jeremy was honored as the 2024 Environmental Enforcement Officer of the Year by the Long Island Central Pine Barrens Commission, also known as the “Golden Pinecone” Award. Jeremy offers an extensive knowledge of the New York State Environmental Conservation Law and environmental enforcement actions.

Law Enforcement Educator: As an ADA, Jeremy provided lectures to the Suffolk County Police Academy and the East End Marine Law Enforcement Task Force on the topics of discovery, trial suppression and Boating While Intoxicated offenses.

A product of Walt Whitman High School in Huntington, Jeremy received a Bachelors Degree from SUNY Binghamton University and a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University, where he lead the mock trial team to a national interscholastic competition victory.
